English Conversation: Airlines Crew and Hospitality Industry is a practical English learning module designed to equip beginners and vocational learners with the communication skills needed in airline and hospitality settings. Guided by the philosophy “Learn life whilst learning English,” the module connects English learning with real-life experiences and workplace communication. Rather than focusing solely on grammar, it emphasizes functional language that learners can immediately apply when interacting with passengers, guests, colleagues, and other service users.
The module covers essential communication situations, including greetings and introductions, offering help, basic service expressions, taking orders, making suggestions, handling requests and special needs, managing complaints politely, small talk, and cultural awareness. It also provides pronunciation and intonation practice to help learners communicate clearly, politely, and confidently in professional service contexts. The learning experience is further enriched through role-play, conversation practice, vocabulary games, listening activities, assignments, online self-study resources, and assessment tasks, making the module suitable for both classroom instruction and independent learning.
